Reopening of the Abidjan-Lisbon route with TAP Portugal

TAP Portugal has resumed its service to the Ivorian economic capital! The airline is now flying without competition on this direct route Abidjan-Lisbon abandoned for fifteen years.

The inaugural flight was welcomed on July 17 by the traditional water arch. TAP Portugal offers now 5 weekly flights on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday operated on A320 able to accomodate 18 passengers in business class and 150 passengers in economy class.

Departures from Lisbon are scheduled daily at 5:25 p.m. Return flights from Abidjan are scheduled at 11:00 p.m. to arrive the next day at 5:20 a.m.

The growth and the economic upturn of Côte d’Ivoire attract more and more investors and new opportunities. The strategic battle for several scores of airlines, offering departures to more than 35 destinations, reflects the good health of the country. Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny airport is recoring an increase in their annual rate of passenger traffic.
